Building your game with an AI assistant?

Claude Code, Cursor and Codex pick sounds from the same library while they write your game, through MCP or REST — no key. Making sounds uses your account.

Run it in your terminal.

What your assistant gets back

Add sounds to my platformer: jump, coin, hit.

get_sound_set { "set": "platformer" }→ saved into your project, listed in SOUNDS.md

With an API key it can also make what the library lacks: generate_sound, generate_ambience and generate_music; change_sound gives three versions of a take, free.

Questions

Can I use these in a video, game or app I sell?

Yes. All SFXMint sounds are offered under CC0 1.0: use them in YouTube videos, games on Steam or itch.io, apps and ads. No attribution or license fee is required.

How many sounds can I download?

Listening is free and unlimited. Downloads: 3 library downloads a day, with or without a free account; ZIP packs come with a purchase. Any purchase also unlocks unlimited library downloads and ZIP packs for 30 days from payment.

How do I add a sound to my project?

Preview it, download the WAV or MP3, and add the file to your project. You can also let Claude Code, Cursor or Codex fetch it through the API or MCP.

What if my game needs a sound the library doesn't have?

Describe it in AI Studio, with the moment it plays in your game, and pick from the takes it makes. Making sounds: free to make and hear (3 a day); a free account downloads its first 3 free, for personal, non-commercial use; commercial use (HD, CC0): one credit a generation, or a plan.

Can I ship these in a game on Steam?

Yes. The sounds are CC0, so no licence or credit is needed. They are AI-generated, and Steam's Content Survey asks about AI-made content that ships with a game, sound included: describe SFXMint's sounds in its AI section. itch.io asks the same in its AI disclosure.

What has been checked?

Every file is checked one by one: its format, length, loudness and peak level are measured, and the length each page shows is the part you can hear.
